Capture of Dolphin's at Taiji for Entertainment
at Dolphin Shows and Swim with Dolphin Programs

Taiji Japan, every September 1st to March 1st, the country of Japan issues permits to find migrating dolphins past the coast of Taiji, drive them into The Cove where most are brutally slaughtered, a few may be picked for dolphin shows and babies dumped back out to sea to die without their mother's, alone.   On January 17th through the 2ist, 2014, the largest bottlenose dolphin pod with an estimated 250 family members, including an albino calf.  You can see more HERE

Thousands of dolphins are stolen from the sea and entire families are brutally killed in the cove. To support these killings, a few are taken and sold for tens of $1,000's of dollars to Aquariums and Swim with Dolphins Programs all over the world which subsidizes these killings. But most are killed for a few hundred dollars worth of meat, the nursing babies are taken alive and dumped out at sea to die slowly alone, so their deaths are not counted towards the Japanese Government's kill quota since they are too small to get much meat from. The dead dolphins are butchered for meat, although there is not much market value for it since their meat has toxic levels of mercury, and is often mislabeled as whale meat.

Please do not support this tragedy by attending Dolphin Shows etc., instead, refuse to support this awful industry and do not pay to go to dolphin shows, aquariums or anyplace that keeps dolphins in captivity. Take away the market, and the dolphins won't have to suffer these terrible deaths.  Don't buy a ticket to places that have captive orcas, dolphins or other cetaceans, instead, help and share with your family and friends so we can stop this.

The killers Holiday Break: No Dolphins were hunted or killed

29 days of Blue Cove Days!- no Dolphin Families were found during hunts for 29 days!

Warning about the video below which shows how dolphins are killed.  This was taken in January 2011 of the slaughter of what appears to be a small pod of striped dolphins - the slaughter is ugly.   Please be sure to read the text at the films end.  This video was made by AtlanticBlue.de  Thank you for your courage to witness this.  Please share with others, we have to stop this ugly industry.

Whale and Dolphin Conservation has put together this video from several sources, to show what actually happens underneath the tarps in Taiji.  The Japanese government claims the dolphins are killed in a humane way, there is nothing humane about how it is done at all.

The Humane Society of the United States has a clip from the movie "The Cove" that shows just how awful these dolphin hunts are in Taiji Japan.

On January 11th, 2010, over 40 Dolphins were killed at Taiji's Cove.
